Skip the arrivals shop
At Queen Alia, getting a local SIM means a passport and a line at the Zain, Orange or Umniah shop. You set up the eSIM at home.
Desert and Petra
Measurements show 4G in Wadi Musa and at the Petra entrance, and nothing along the Siq or at the Monastery. Save maps before walking in.
Keep your own number
Calls, texts and bank codes still arrive on your regular line.
Three small steps, then you are off
- 1
Choose a destination
Look up a country or a region. Prices appear in your own currency.
- 2
Install it at home
Scan the QR code before you leave. Nothing to swap, no SIM tray.
- 3
Switch on when you land
Turn the eSIM on after landing and you are online. Your usual number stays in the phone for calls and messages.
Good to know
- What network does the Jordan eSIM connect to?
- Zain, with 4G.
- Can I get signal inside Petra?
- Yes, 4G, in Wadi Musa and at the entrance. Crowd-sourced maps hold no measurements along the Siq, at the Treasury or at the Monastery.
- Can I make WhatsApp calls in Jordan?
- Nobody can say for sure. Jordanian operators blocked them in 2016, and recent reports conflict. Messages, photos and voice notes go through.
